I thought it good to declare the signs and wonders that the
Most High God has worked for me.
Daniel 4:2 (NKJV)
As I wondered what the Lord would have me post for the ending of this year. I was perplexed , nothing was coming to my mind. This year has been full of many Ups and Downs, Signs and Wonders,. And did I say “many”?
Reflecting back on the photos I have taken this past month with all the family and festivities. I was drawing a “blank”.
But as the Lord always does, if…………. “I seek Him”.
He is always willing to show me….
And as I headed downstairs for this morning “cup of coffee”.
I looked out the window located at the top of my stairs and what a sight I did see……….
1.13 Download
One of our stray cats resting . Not just ordinarily resting, but way up “out on a limb” resting and enjoying the warm sunshine.
Now there’s a sight ! Should I call out the “Fire Department”? (no this is Meigs County someone would probably just shoot her down.)
Should I panic? (she looks pretty peaceful.)
Is she in distress? (does she know how high up she is?)
Why do we question “everything”?
What should I do?
Answer: Go and get my camera.
So through the (not so clean) glass window I took this photo. I continue to be amazed at how the Lord will get my attention.
Daniel 4:3 (New King James Version)3 How great are His signs,
And how mighty His wonders!
His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
And His dominion is from generation to generation.
And how mighty His wonders!
His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
And His dominion is from generation to generation.
While seeing is not always believing, I wish that this past year I could share with all of you that my faith has always remained high. But the facts are, that the Lord had to continually remind me if I only had “ faith the size of a mustard seed”.
Matthew 17:20 (New King James Version)20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
6 So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
Arturia jupiter 8v v3 3 1. But just like seeing this cat “out on a limb” a certain amount of panic can over come us even among His amazing Signs and Wonders.
Especially when we are not “Resting” in the Lord . We seem to focus on all of our what ifs and distresses instead of focusing in on His Great Hands of Mercy.
14 And David said to Gad, “I am in great distress. Please let us fall into the hand of the LORD, for His mercies are great; but do not let me fall into the hand of man.”
And it bears repeating again:
13 And David said to Gad, “I am in great distress. Please let me fall into the hand of the LORD, for His mercies are very great; but do not let me fall into the hand of man.”
So as this year comes to a close this final photo for 2008 pretty much says exactly where we are. With all my questions of what and why.

JOHN1:1-31 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him not even one thing was made that has been made.
What claims are being made above about the “Word” (John 1:1)?
A. The Word is someone who can be referred to as “Him” (John 1:3).
B. He was “with God” (John 1:1).
C. He “was God” (John 1:1).
D. He existed “in the beginning” (John 1:1 & 2).

C. He “was God” (John 1:1).
D. He existed “in the beginning” (John 1:1 & 2).
E. Everything was “made through Him” (John 1:3).
Are these five claims internally consistent with the rest of the Bible?
Since John 1:1 talks about “in the beginning,” let's turn to the beginning of the Bible - in Genesis 1 - and read verses 3, 6, 9, 11, 14, 20, 24 and 26.

What are the second and third words in each of the eight verses above?
“God said,” so according to the Bible, God created everything not with a wand or a snap of His fingers but through “Word” (John 1:1), hence “E” above.

JOHN 1:4-54 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not understand it.
What is the “darkness” (John 1:5)?
Our fallen world. It should be noted that ου κατελαβεν (ou katelaben), the original Greek words translated “did not understand” (John 1:5), could also mean “did not overcome,” in which case “darkness” would refer to Satan's dominion, which could not overcome the “Light” (John 1:5) that penetrated it.

Who is the “Light” (John 1:7, 8, 9)?
John 1:10 onwards refers to the Light as “He” and “Him,” and states that the “world was made through Him,” equating Him to the “Word” above. So the “Word” above is now being referred to as the “Light.”
